| What is the Curriculum? Twenty-five financial literacy modules designed specifically for med students. Topics include budgeting, saving, investing, insurance and identity theft, to name a few. Modules are suggested in a four-year sequence, but all modules are available at all times. How is it Delivered? Modules are delivered through standard e-learning, mobile-learning, webinars, podcasts, and discussion boards. Click the links below to view excerpts from the curriculum: How Do Students Access it? Once a school subscribes to the curriculum, students access all the learning through a portal customized for their medical school. All learning is student-initiated and completed when and where it fits their schedule. | How is it Reinforced? Strong instruction is often not enough to make lasting behavior changes. That's why each module concludes with a coach assignment. Students apply the skills to their lives, then receive private feedback and answers to their specific questions. Our team of expert financial advisor volunteers are "on call" to provide this critical reinforcement. These seasoned professionals specialize in working with physicians and adhere to a strict "no solicitation" agreement. Who is it For? Medical school students. All examples, scenarios, images and figures depict the life and reality of med students and physicians. How Was it Developed? Curriculum development began by combining our extensive internal expertise in the areas of adult learning and physicians' personal finances. Next, we engaged expert financial advisors, medical school Financial Aid Departments and students to ensure this is a powerful, relevant curriculum. |
